Bin-Ebaiya Emerges APC Candidate for Lokoja 1 State Constituency.

A former Special Adviser to Governor Yahaya Bello on Water Resources, Hon Shehu Tijjani Bin-Ebaiya, has emerged as the candidate of the All Progressive Congress( APC) Lokoja 1 State Constituency to contest in the 2023 general elections.

The THEANALYSTNG reports that Bin-Ebaiya emerged at primary election held at the Amusement park,Lokoja on Thursday.

The Returning officer appointed by the Party, Hon. Alhassan Salihu said two aspirants contested, Hon. Tijjani Shehu Bin-Ebaiya and Inusa Ibrahim Amale, adding that Hon. Amale withdrew from the contest before the exercise commence after reaching consensus arrangement.

According to Salihu, 25 delegates participated in the primaries stressing that due process was followed during the primaries.

Salihu, who announced the result, said that Bin-Ebaiya scored 25 votes to emerge the winner.

He added that the election was free, fair, and peaceful and that it was conducted in accordance with the party’s constitution.

Speaking to journalists, the
Bin-Ebaiya thanked the delegates for voting for him and promised to work with members of the party to ensure that APC wins all elections in Lokoja constituency.

He appealed to members of the party to work towards the success of the party in the forthcoming general election.

He described the exercise as peaceful and commeded his co- contestant,Hon. Inusa Ibrahim Amale for his sportsmanship and promised to work with him and the leadership of the party to bring development nearing to the people of Lokoja 1 Constituency in particular and the state at large.

The election was withnessed by security agents and INEC reps. Alhaji Muhammad Jamiu Abdulwahab.
