Kogi West Senatoial seat: I ‘m out to Execute People-Oriented Blueprint, Aina Assures Constituents

An aspirant for Kogi West Senatoial seat on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr. Muyi Aina, has clarified that he joined the race for the 2023 general elections to enable him execute his development blueprint for his constituency.

The Senatoial hopeful give the assurance while answering questions at the 2022 Media Parley for aspirant seeking election to the national Assembly organised by Kogi state Council of Nigeria Union Of Journalists (NUJ) on Thursday in Lokoja.

He explained that he was not in the race to acquire power and wealth but to execute his development blueprint which he had conceived long ago.

“I am not out for power and money, I am out to execute my development blueprint, which includes; Credible people- centred legislative advocacy, promotion of appropriate legislations and government focus on security and sustainable economic empowerment programs, interventions and facilitating access to government and investor- backed agricultural, small and medium enterprise schemes” he said.

Dr Aina further stated that if giving the mandate, he would not concentrate development in Kogi west Senatoial district alone but he’ll ensure equity and fairness as a Lawmaker.

The aspirant said beyond lawmaking which is the core duty of a legislator, he will collaborate with stakeholders and security to curb prevailing insecurity in his constituency.

Aina, a seasoned business mogul and executive with 25 years of national and international experience in human development, promised job creation for the youth, social interventions and constituency projects that will have direct bearings on his constituency, based on their needs assessments.

He thanked the Nuj for organizing the interactive session which gave him the opportunity to speak with the larger audience, especially delegates to APC forthcoming primaries.
