“I have never attended an occasion as homely as I did today. Adegaki as you all know, produced the first parliamentary Minister of Police affairs in the first republic.
Today, the fishing community
Is been threatened by the menace of erosions, that if nothing is done, the area may be Wipeout due to environmental degredition affecting the fishing Community”he lamented.
The Royal father further said like Oliver Twist ” I’I request that the SDGs should look into the environmental degredition affecting edegaki community including the road liking the Community with Koton-Karfe and Lokoja, the state capital in general”

In his keynote address, the facilitator of the project, Comrade Hassan Shuaibu Ohimozi, said; “The great efforts behind conceiving and actualizing this project began a few years ago.
“However, it began to see the light of the day when it was included in the list of contracts to be awarded by the federal government under the office of the SDGs in 2022.
“It will interest everyone here today that sometimes ago, his Royal Majesty informed me that on his way back from Edegaki to Koton-Karfe town, he came across a pregnant woman in labour that was being accompanied by her husband on a bike which was conveying them to the hospital outside the community and unfortunately, the bike broke down on their way and we understand this terrain. If you are in such situation, you are left with Almighty Allah alone to come to your rescue. His Royal Majesty stopped and took them to the hospital where she sussefuly gave birth.
“That was why his Royal Majesty requested we site this project here in Edegaki. That this will benefit almost 30 communities around this area,” he explained.
Shuaibu urged the people to make good use of the hospital and it’s facilities.
In attendance are, representatives of Kogi State government, top officials of Kogi local government council, traditional rulers, youths and women groups, top politicians and community leaders among others.
