Eid-Ul-Fitr : Engineer Gegu Felicitates With Muslims

Leader of APC in Kogi local government and Kogi state Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engineer Abubakar Bashir Gegu has congratulated Muslims on the eidil- fitir celebration.

This was contained in a statement signed by him and made available to THEANALYSTNG on Monday in Lokoja.

He said; Eid-Ul-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, a time of prayer, reflection, and fasting. It is the holiest month of the Muslim year.

“The Ramadan fast has afforded us the opportunity to reconnect with our creator and extend the hand of fellowship to our fellow men. However, as we celebrate, we should not forget the lessons learnt, to wit, the spirit of piety, alms-giving, of compassion and love for fellow men.”

He urged all adherents of Islam to continue to abide by the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad(SAW) after the holy month so that they would receive more reward from the Almighty Allah. “Islam is indeed a religion of peace and the true essence of the religion is to unite the entire mankind in love and harmony. “It is, therefore, a duty on all Muslims to make sacrifices towards ensuring peaceful and harmonious co-existence with adherents of other faith just like the holy Prophet Muohammad (PBUH) has set example for us during his lifetime”

He congratulated Governor Yahaya Bello adding that what the nation needs at this crucial stage is a committed leadership, which is driven by honest and open desire to lead the country out of its present pedecament.

Gegu appealed to Nigerians to support Governor Yahaya Bello’s bid to succeed President Muhammad Buhari in 2023, to enable him led the nation out of the present economy downturn, insecurity challenges and more.

“We must all continue to pray and work hard towards building a peaceful, united and prosperous Nigeria” He said.
