A group under the aigise of Kogi East Youth Forum ( KEYF) in Abuja, on Wednesday, has boosted Muhammed Abdullahi .a.k.a Elephant’s senatorial ambitions by buying nomination forms worth₦2.5 million.
Presenting the forms to him at NNPP National Secretariats in Abuja, leader of the Group, Hajiya Hadiza Usman , said she and her colleagues came together to buy the nomination form for Elephant in reciprocation of his goodwill which he has earned in over 2 decades of his active involvement in the development of Igala Kingdom and Kogi state in general.
“Elephant, you have made very significant deposits in the account of public good and human development, and this is a token response to your goodwill”, Usman said.
She described the North Central NNPP zonal leader, as a seasoned social and behaviour change expert whose skills and experience will help turn around the fortunes of the Kogi East senatorial district, and energise the upper arm of the National Assembly
“Elephant’s expertise in development is what is needed to systems-engineer a culture of people-oriented development into the landscape of Lawmaking in upper Chamber and as representative of Kogi East people”, Usman added
He further Said the group decided to lend their support to Elephant’s Senatorial bid in demonstration of their belief in his capacity to deliver when elected come 2023.
NNPP North Central woman leader ,Hajiya Marya Yakubu, described Abdallahi as a progressive Politician who means well to the people of Kogi East Senatorial district and Nigeria in general.
In his response, Mohammed Abdullahi thanked the Group for believing in him and promised to make them proud if his party, the NNPP gives him the ticket to contest in the 2023 elections.
“I am humbled but at the same time energized by your belief in me and by this show of love,I promise to justify the confidence you reposed on me” he said
