Ahead of 2023 Kogi East Senatorial seat, Distinguished Senator Isaac Mohammed Alfa has signified his intention to run for the coveted seat on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Alfa, who made his intention known while addressing the party delegates, stakeholders and supporters during his visit to the senatorial district.
The onetime Chief of Air Staff, Nigeria Airforce, embarked on the visit to solicit for their support for the forthcoming party primaries to enable him become the party’s flag bearer to contest the general election to represent the good people of Kogi East at the Red Chambers of the National Assembly, Abuja.
He promised them of quality and adequate representation, focused leadership with integrity, and that with his experience, he has the wherewithal to represent them if given the mandate.
It would be recalled that Distinguished Senator Alfa participated in PDP Kogi East primary in 2014 and won but the party then in their usual manner connived and forwarded the name of his co – contender, Senator Attai Aidoko to INEC, this he challenged in court and after long years of legal battle, he won and was sworn in as the Senator representing Kogi East which he spent only few months at the Senate as the recognised representative of the good people of the senatorial district.
