The chairman of State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Comrade Abdullahi Sulaiman Ndalayi, on Tuesday was asked to take a respectful bow and leave the floor of Kogi state House.
Earlier,speaker Kogi state House of Assembly,Rt Hon. Mathew Kolawole announced that the Executive Governor of Kogi state,Alhaji Yahaya Bello, forwarded the names of Comrade Ndalayi as executive Chairman of SUBEB and Hon. Usman Umoru as permanent Member to be screen and approve by the house.
Speaker Kolawole who later announced the confirmation of Comrade Ndalayi as the Executive Chairman of the board and Umar as parmanent member, whoever charged them to bring their wealth of experience to bear on their new assignment.
He however informed them that as education forms the foundation of societal progress in all ramifications the state expects much from them.
Kolawole urged the appointees to justify the confidence reposed in them by discharging the duties effectively
Speaking shortly after the process, Abdullahi expressed satisfaction with the screening, promising to continue to contribute his quota to the educational development of the state.
He expressed appreciation to members of the 7th Kogi State House of Assembly for their support for the present administration and the cordiality existing amongs all the arms of Government in Kogi State.
Comrade Abdullahi described the exercise as transparent, thorough and interactive, promising to work in line with the global best practices to achieve the set goal.
He said he was excited about working with Governor Yahaya Bello because he is a visionary leader and equally assured of his readiness to bring to bear his wealth of experience if cleared.
Comrade Ndalayi thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for reappointing him for the second term and promised to justify the confidence reposed on him.
The occasion witnessed the attendance of the Executive Chairman of Lokoja Local Government,Hon. Muhammed Danasabe Muhammed, APC Lokoja Local chairman,Hon. Bature Maikudi,Special Adviser to Governor Yahaya Bello on SME’s and APC Lokoja Local government Stakeholders chairman,Hon. Danladi Sulaiman Aguye, special advisers and host of others.
Highlights of the occasion was a reception held in the premises of the board in honour of the Executive Chairman of SUBEB,Comrade Ndalayi by the staffers of the board
