President Muhammadu Buhari has approved a proposed zoning formula for national offices of the All Progressives Congress (APC), TheCable can report.
The president approved of the zoning formula in a document he signed on March 1.
Interestingly, in the document, Abdullahi Adamu, senator representing Nasarawa west, is being proposed as the APC national chairman.
TheCable had reported how Adamu who was arraigned in 2010 by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly embezzling N15 billion is preferred for the position of APC national chairman.

While Faruk Aliyu Adamu, former house of representatives member, is proposed as deputy national chairman (north), while Ken Nnamani, former senate president, is named for the position of deputy national chairman (south).
John Akpanudoedehe, current national secretary of the APC caretaker committee, is proposed as the substantive national secretary.
Going by this formula, the proposed candidates for the national working committee (NWC) will not have opponents at the national elective convention billed for March 26.
Adams Oshiomhole, a former governor of Edo, was picked as APC national chairman in 2018 under similar circumstances. He was unchallenged.
The ruling party’s constitution provides for consensus candidates.
The other NWC positions were left blank, an indication that they will be contested by aspirants at the convention.
