The North Central Zonal Commander of Hunters Council of Nigeria, Alhaji Abdulhakeem Ibrahim on Saturday in Lokoja commended Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state on tackling insecurity and crimes in the State,
Ibrahim made the commendations at a meeting with local government commanders,officers and men of Hunters Council of Nigeria, North Central zone.
He debunked the statement credited to some Newspapers that Bandits and kidnappers disbanded from North West are thriving in Kogi state.
” Boko Haram and Kidnappers are not thriving in Kogi state,neither are they been active, because Kogi is among the state they feared due to the performance of my people” he said
He commended Governor yahaya Bello for tackling Insecurity and helpful to the group in the state.
He said the state Government under Governor Bello has been helpful to Hunters Group in the state,adding that the assistance been render by Goverment made the hunters to be arresting kidnappers on daily basis .
“Hunters in Kogi on daily basis have been arresting Kidnappers and bandits,as at yesterday ( Friday) my officer,white lion have arrested Kidnappers and handed them over to the DSS” he said
The commander explained that they were in the state to reorganize and put effective structures at local and state level.
Highlights of the visit includes,the Promotion of Bature Inusa to the position of North Central zonal commander,Counter Terrorism.
Untill his promotion,Bature was the Deputy Commander,Hunters Group of Nigeria,Kogi state
The meeting was attended by Kogi state Commandant of Hunters Group of Nigeria,Mr Monday Paul.
