UPDATED: 2 beheaded by IPOB were policemen — another sickening video shows

Composite picture shows two screenshots from the viral video. The video is too graphic for publishing.

A viral video circulating on social media has shown a group of Independent Peoples of Biafra, IPOB insurgents displaying the heads of two people, believed to be Northern Muslims.

Displaying the heads near an open fire, the armed insurgents were seen in the video celebrating their feat and identifying the nose and forehead of one of the victims as “Hausa”.

Chanting war slogans and juggling one of the two heads, one of the insurgents said in Igbo language, “This is a Hausa man now”, while another one argued he was a Fulani man.

“Look at his face, nose and forehead… He hits his forehead on the ground,” another said after noticing the calloused forehead of one, caused by Muslim prayer.

“Thunder will kill the guy and his family,” said another militant.

The video also showed one of their bruised captives, believed to be the master of the two decapitated persons, sitting with his legs tied to a rope.

After publishing this report, another sickening video appeared on social media on Sunday, showing how the insurgents used machete to decapitate two people in police uniforms.

A security expert who analysed the video for DAILY NIGERIAN confirmed its authenticity, saying the incident happened recently.

Late last month, the insurgents killed a Dangote trailer driver, Saidu Alhassan and two of his assistants, Halliru Mallam and Danjuma Isari, in Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State.

Since the renewed wave of restiveness in the South East, security agents, Northerners and violators of sit-at-home order have been facing violent attacks by the proscribed separatist group.

Notably, in May this year, the insurgents killed Ahmed Gulak, a former political adviser to former president Goodluck Jonathan.

In April, the IPOB insurgents opened fire on six Suya sellers in Orlu and another one in Umuaka Njaba.
