The Daman of Lokoja, Alhaji Sulaiman Baba, has expressed sadness over the demised of the Makama of Lokoja,Rtd Rear Admiral Ibrahim Drisu,who passed away on Monday in Abuja, after a protracted illness.
Daman,in a statement obtained by THEANALYSTNG in Lokoja, on Tuesday, extolled the virtues of the deceased, saying his contributions as the chairman of Lokoja traditional title holders witnessed peace and development in the Emirate and Lokoja in general.
He said the Drisu left the stage at a time his wise counsel were most needed.
He expressed his condolences to the Maigari of Lokoja, Dr Muhammmadu Kabir Maikarfi 111, Muslim ummah and urged them to take solace in the fact that the departed the retired Naval General lived a good life and died in the service of his community.
He prayed Almighty Allah to grant the late Makama a place among the righteous ones in Aljannah Firdaus
