Ohere Commends Gov. Bello As He Embarks on Inspection of Lokoja Ultra Modern Civil Centre

Kogi State Commissioner for Works and Housing, Engr. Abubakar Ohere, Thursday undertook an assessment tour of the ongoing Lokoja ultra modern Civil centre .

Ohere, who was conducted around by the site engineer to ascertained the level and quality of work done so far was accompanied by the commissioner of finance Asiwaju Ashiru Idris.

Engr. Ohere who spoke to the Newsmen after the inspection said, “as you can all see, Governor Bello is more than determined and committed to bringing here the best ultra modern Civil centre and other infrastructures would provide employment to kogites.

Impressed by the level of work, Ohere further stressed that, “this noble venture will go down in history as an epoch making event once commissioned and fully operational and all those involved will surely reap huge divine results courtesy of His Exellency, Gov. Yahaya Bello.

He described, the job performance in terms of quality and timely delivery as outstanding, stressing further that the job is progressing on time.

The commissioner described the quality of work on the Civic centre as GYB standard and in accordance with the bill of quantity, explained that when completed the Civic centre would open up Lokoja to another night life
The Commissioner expressed happiness with the transformation, said the Civic centre when completed would also provide for places of events within the City capital, with adequate protection and with open spaces.

Ohere further disclosed that Gov. Yahaya Bello inherited a state in 2016 with virtually decayed infrastructure, attributed the infrastructure transformation in the state to a team of Fund management team he has put together, said the team is made up of experience technocrats and Accountants, opined that it has helped in the execution of projects with value for money in the State.

The Commissioner gave kudos to the political will of Gov. Bello explaining that the Governor has prioritize the interest of the people by making them first in the scheme of things, a development he noted has impacted positively on the lives and well-being of the people of the State in terms of job creation opportunities, poverty reduction and impacting on the living standard of the people.
