Sheikh Raji admonishes Muslim to emulate virtues of prophet Muhammad

Muslim ummah have been advised to emulate the virtues of prophet muhammad SAW by refraining from all forms of vices and turning to good deeds .

The called was made by Imam Sheikh Tijjani mosque zuba , Sheikh Abubakar Raji in a lecture he delivered to mark year 1443 Hijirah celebration in Lokoja on Tuesday organised by Kogi State Muslim Organizations (KOSMO)

Raji enjoined the Ummah to embark on spiritual Hijrah by shunning that which Allah has forbidden to that which He enjoined.

According to him, such is the turning point of the struggle of prophet Muhammad in migrating from Macca to Madinah at the formative years of Islam.

The Islamic Claric described Hijrah as the beginning of Islamic Calendar year and the unending years to come.

Earlier, in his welcome address , the State Coordinator, Kogi Muslim Organizations KOSMO, Mallam Nasir Yusuf Abdullahi urged the Ummah to reflect on the spiritual message of Hijrah.

He called on the government at all levels of governance to be fair and just as well as to ensure welfare and security of all Nigerians.

Highlights of the occasion included the unveiling of the forteen forty three Islamic Calendar and presentation of awards to three deserving personalities in honour of their services to Islam and humanity.
