The Maigari of Lokoja , Alhaji Dr Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi 111,OON has installed Malam Muhammadu Muhammadu as the new Sarkin Makafi ( Blind) of Lokoja.
His installation followed the demised of Malam Idris Adamu Maishanu,who reigned for 53 years.
The ceremony which took place at the Maigari of Lokoja place on Thursday,was attended by the Waziri Of Lokoja, Alhaji Abdulrahman Idi Baba kurun.

The installation ceremony was performed by the representative of His Royal Highness,the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ahmad Sarkin Zango and assisted by Hakimis of Ward B , Alhaji Idris and that of ward D,Isah Nasidi.
Speaking when they paid him a homage after the installation ceremony,the Monarch appealed to the newly installed Sarkin Makafi to emulate his predecessor
” I appeal to you all to join hands with the new Sarkin Makafi Muhammadu to ensure the success of his reign” the royal Father said
As a leader you should emulate the path of peace and tranquillity the late Sarki laid down”, he stated, adding that much should be done in educating their children as leaders of tommorow.
Responding,Malam Muhammadu thanked the royal Father for the honoured done to him and assured him of his readiness to emulate the late mai shanu ,who he described as peacemaker.
