“My Encounter with Season Politician, Senator Kábiru Gaya”

Senator Kábiru Ibrahim Gaya is the senator representing Kano Sourth,a former Executive Governor of Kano state and Chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC).

Gaya is truly the most respected, accommodating and wonderful politician I ever met.

The Senator reminded me of late Rt. Hon. Umar Buba Jibril, of blessed memory

I voted for Kábiru Gaya when he contested for the governorship of kano state in 1992 under the platform of defunct National Republican Convention (NRC), a political party adjudged by political analysts as underdog when compared with the Social Democratic party (SDP) led by Late Abubakar Rimi in old kano state.

Over three decades after ,we met through Alhaji Bala Salisu,the Katuka of Lokoja, unlike our overzealous politicians, and public office holders, Gaya recalled after some little introduction, he appreciate my contributions towards his success and thanked me for casting my vote for him and added;

“Katuka just told me about your contributions towards my success at the poll in 1992, we need to see and discuss on the way forward” he said through telephone conversation.

I was perturbed when he gave me a call few days later, what came into my mind immediately was, how some elected representative whom you worked assiduously for their success either call you, nor pick your calls, but here’s a senator from another world appreciating you for casting your vote for him, not only that, still call you to say: “thank you for the story”

Truly, Senator Kábiru Ibrahim Gaya is a people’s senator, whose office at the National Assembly and his residence at Wuse, is always remain open to all manners of people across the country

The simplicity of this wonderful Leader, remind me of Sir Ahmadu Bello,Chief Sunday Awoniyi, Abubakar Rimi, and Late Rt. Hon. Umar Buba Jibril to mention but few.

Infact,Gaya is a role model to younger generation who are ready to serve not to be serve, he’s a leader to always emulate because he have good and marshal plans for the people of Kano State if given the opportunity to serve, which I believe it’ll come to pass

Senator Gaya, no doubt has since won the hearts of his people, this I discovered during my brief encounter with him.

Gaya is a a senator who gives attention to all manners of people, he’ll follow them to any office to secure employment for them, made several phone calls and issues recommendation letters to the people of his constituent ” he fixed us irrespective of your religion, tribe or where you come from” Aliyu Sulaiman Said

“Gaya gave listen ears to his Messengers in his office, gardeners at his residence, above all, he dine with his staffers and visitors.

Gaya, have in many ways been a blessing to the people of Kano Sourth Constituency in particular and the entire Kano state in general, I believe that is why the people of Kano state were looking up to him to led them come 2023.

He always shown his readiness and willingness to assist the less privilege, women ,orphans, youths and the elderly in the society.

The Senator is not a lawmaker who will go on a junket and embark on fruitless promises to his people, he always embark on Constituency projects that have direct bearing on the needs of the people. He however believes that empowerment is a major index of economic retooling.

This he demonstrated in his commitment to uplift the standard living of the people of his constituents and Kano state in general.

Recently, he empowered over 20 thousand people ranging from small scale farmers, blacksmith, women, youths, Venerable, Physically challenge among many.

One of the beneficiary, Malam Adamu Takai, has this to say; ” the people of Kano state would support Gaya as a successor to Gov. Ganduje because of his experience and for continuity,

Senate president Lawal and senator Gaya

In 1992 when he governed Kano state ,the man credible performed well, the legacy is still there for all to see”Takai concluded

Infact, Senator Kabir Gaya has proved himself without a doubt that he is a capable and trustworthy Leader who deserves the support of Kano people come 2023.

Looking at his antecedents, and the way he’s carrying his people along are among the reasons I remain committed to his project ” said Abubakar Sagagi .

According to Alhaji Abdulrahman Abubakar Tofa, a chieftain of the ruling party in Kano,” honestly, the reason why we are yearning for Senator Gaya to contest the 2023 Governorship election is because of his humility, foresight and patriotic zeal, couples with his experience,we don’t need a training Governor.

Senator Kabir Gaya is more reliable and responsible who places importance on every Kano indigene irrespective of the local govt you come from, he’s very passionate about Kano state ” said Tofa.

My observation is that Senator Kábiru Ibrahim Gaya is attracting endorsement as 2023 election approaches due to his commitment to human development and capacity building.

A Woman activist and APC Chieftain in kano, Hajiya Ramatu Usman Gwarzo, while speaking to TheAnalystNG said having studied Gaya for over decades, “I knows him well enough as a leader who is capable of developing and mentoring younger generation for prominent positions not only in Kano political space, but the Nation at larger “said Gwarzo

The former Governor recent endorsements by the people of Kano state are justifiable.   So, it is logical and predictable that Senator Gaya is enjoying an abundance of justifiable endorsements, which may led him to victory in 2023.

The beauty of the endorsements is that they are based on what he has to show for his time in office so far as a senator and one-time Governor of the most populous state in Nigeria, In other words, he has attracted powerful endorsements through the power of his performance within the period under review.
