Director / Head of Lokoja Local Goverment Administration,Engineer Yahaya Muhammed Danladi Farouk,On Tuesday 2, February received MOPEGON award of 2020 Certificate Of Credence/ Commendation from a non governmental Organization, Movement For Peaceful And Equitable Governance In Nigeria (MOPEGON).
Director General /CEO of the organization,Comrade Counsel Bello Omeiza who led the delegation to the office of the DLG in Lokoja, said they were in his office to present to him an award of credence in recognition of his enviable virtue and exemplary leadership quality and his developmental contributions to Lokoja Local Government Administration in Kogi State
Omeiza, disclosed that the MOPEGON is a non governmental Organization,that is nationally base with the aims and objectives of promoting peace ,good governance, development volunteerism among others.
He added that over 20 leaders across the state were shortlisted before settling for engineer Farouk noting that the success recorded under his watch within a short period of time is encouraging and commendable.
He said, ” The level of commitment and creativity you displayed in the course of managing the Affairs of Lokoja Local Goverment is laudable and exemplary, it is obvious that your leadership is inspiring.
“We recognise your leadership skills and passion to protect your people against underdevelopment
“Your outstanding parformance in both private and public service didn’t go unnoticed,the smiles you put on the faces of our people is appreciated spun our organization to go honour you today” he said
He described engineer Farouk as an advocate of good Governance who translated tangible benefits to the governed within short time.
Engineer Farouk, in his reaction thanked the organization for the honour,as he reiterated the resolve of his office to ensure quality and good Governance in Lokoja local government
He commended MOPEGON for being in the forefront preventing bad governance, which he said are root causes underdevelopment .

Farouk who assured the organization of his corporation, urged them to remain focus on their efforts in preaching peace,unity and good governance.
The ceremony which took place at DLG’s office has the blessings of members of the association in attendance.
