My abductors meant to kill me, sold me to herdsmen instead ,says Immigration spokesman

The Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Edo State Command, Bridget Esene has revealed how she was sold to Fulani herdsmen after her abduction from church by some assailants.

She stated that when the assailants confronted her within the church premises, she made an attempt to run but stopped when the gang members pointed their rifles at her.

Esene, who secured her freedom on Tuesday, said that her abductors meant to kill her but later had a change of mind.

“The armed men numbering five trailed me to my church at Ikhueniro near Benin City where I was kidnapped.

“I was forced into their car and driven out of the church premises by my abductors who later sold me to another set of kidnappers, who are suspected herdsmen. I saw hell and l don’t wish my enemy such,” Esene told The Punch.
