2023 presidency : Wallahi, Buhari will never support Tinubu, says Sule Lamido

A former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari will never support the presidential ambition of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu.

TheAnalystNG reports that Tinubu has not officially declared his intention to run for the Presidency in 2023.

But while delivering a speech during the inauguration of the Jigawa State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, reconciliation committee in Dutse on Wednesday, Mr Lamido said the President would not fulfill his own side of the bargain, after getting support from the Southwest leaders.

According to him, the ruling party belongs to the two bed-fellows: Buhari and Tinubu.

He said: “The ruling APC belongs to two people, Buhari and Tinubu and I want to tell you that wallahi! Wallahi! Wallahi, Buhari will never support Tinubu in the next coming elections.”

According to the former foreign affairs minister, Mr Buhari fulfilled his ambition of serving two terms as president without achieving his three major agendas of tackling insecurity, corruption and reviving the economy.

Mr Lamido claimed that Mr Buhari had deceived Nigerians as Donald Trump did to the United States, alleging that majority of Nigerians are distablised due to the pattern of APC leadership in the country.

He, therefore, challenged Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to identify those that are elevated from extreme poverty through APC administration in Jigawa State.
