The chief Imam of Oworo community, ustaz Muhammadu Kabir has called on security agents to focus their searchlight on Oworo community due to inflow of Ebiras and the Bassa Komus who were dislodged by the recent flood.
The Islamic claric made the called in a press release he signed on behalf of the community and made available to Newsmen in Lokoja on Friday.
He pointed out that the Oworo community witnessed migration of people due to recent flood particularly, the Ebiras and Bassa Komus, stressing that the refugees should note that the isegba felele ,and the entire Oworo land is known for peace and their coming shouldn’t be a threat to peace and security of the area.
The statement reads in part:
“God created mankind and making him to belong to a tribe is for a reason to know each others and not to kill themselves”
I want to appeal to the security agents to put their searchlight in the entire Oworo land, especially from Jamata,Felele down toGada. Shagari to ensure peace and unity is maintained to avoid breakdown of law and order,” the statement concluded.
