As Kogi Independent Electoral Commission,fixed 12th, of December 2020 as the date of Council Elections in Kogi State,the state chapter of All Progressive Congress, (APC) have debunked the rumours going round that it has fixed the cost of nomination forms for aspirants under the platform of the ruling party.
This was disclosed by the state Chairman of the party,Hon.Abdullahi Bello while interacting with Journalists in Lokoja.
According to him the party is yet to fix cost of nomination form for Chairmanship and Councillorship Aspirants.
This, clarification he said, become necessary against the backdrop of an online reports making the rounds that aspirants seeking to contest for the Chairmanship position would purchase the form at the cost of N1.1m.
Similarly those seeking to contest for Councillorship position the report alleged would purchase the forms for N550, 000.
But in a swift reaction, the APC State Chairman said no decision has been reached on cost of forms.
The Chairman said the party would hold its state working Committee meeting today where decision would be taken on cost.
He urged the party members to disregard the information, stressing that the report is aimed at discrediting the grassroots appeal of the party in the state.
