The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee(NULGE ) Lokoja Local Government Chapter, has commended the Director and Head of Administration Lokoja Local Government, Engineer Yahaya Muhammed Farouk over his policy on staff welfare.
The commendation was made by the Chairman of the Association,Comrade Bala Ibrahim in Lokoja on Tuesday during an interactive session with the staffers of the council.
The chairman said the DLG since he assumed office has demonstrated his passion for staff welfare and capacity building.
Bala said for the first time,the 2018 promotion was not only released, but was followed with the approval of 2019 junior staff promotion , that’ll will be release soon.
This gestures, he noted has attested to Farouk’s concern for the welfare of Lokoja Local Government staffers.
The union leaders thanked him for his prompt response to the issues of capacity building and in-house training for the council staffers for optimum performance.
In his on remarks,comrade Muhammed Alfa who spoke on behalf of past NULGE leaders, appluded the policies and leadership qualities of engineer Farouk and assured him of their support.
Treasurer of Lokoja Local Government, Alhaji Isah Adoga in his on contributions,described Farouk as a seasoned Administrator who According to him,within the period under review,ensured improvement in the monthly impress of some vital offices.
Earlier, in his address the Director and Head of Administration Lokoja Local Government, Engr. Yahaya Muhammed Farouk MNSE, thanked the management and staff of the council for their cooperation.
He said that the meeting was summoned in order to interact with the management and staffers and reassess the earlier meeting held on the 4th of June this year
Farouk announced that the council had resolved the issues of unreleased promotion and directed that the in-house training be organized despite pausity of funds affecting the councils.
The DLG who frowned at indigineship recketeering,said the council have put in place a strick measures to check the menace .
To ensure punctuality,the DLG directed that time books be open immediately and urged all staffers to comply, stressing further that the departmental heads led by him will be cross checking the attendance books.
“Any staff found wanting or err would have himself or herself to blame” he warned
He thanked them for their corporation and charged them to remain committed to their job and maintained descipline by respecting constituted authority.
