Citation; Lokoja Emirate Council known within the political circle as Lokoja Traditional Council is lucky at this point in time to be blessed with the rulership of His Royal Highness, Alhaji Doctor Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi III.
Bagadozhi the Maigari of Lokoja has the record of being one of the most successful and retired public servants among traditional rulers in the state. He has brought his experience to bear in the White Collar Public Service Sector and combines his experience with the immense knowledge he gathered as a core traditional person learning under the humane rulership of his Late Father, a mentor and father to all, Late Etsu Yahaya Kabiru Maikarfi I.
Our administratively astute Royal Father is a man, that has without doubt, brought honour, prestige and respect to the traditional institution in the council and ensured the development of Lokoja in its entirety. He has ensured the unity, peace and prosperity of the people even as he ensured no part of the area was unjustly taken over by outside forces that want to do that. He has resisted all pressure from various quartets to give up any part of the emirate and ensured that history, heritage and prestige of the people were preserved.
Little wonder therefore that Bagadozhi is currently the most respected traditional ruler in Kogi state. Beyond his age, His Royal Highness has ensured there is respect for their Royal fathers and majesties through cooperation and synergy across the state and that is why members of the council in the state recognise him as a peace lover and patriotic Nigerian.
Your Royal Highness Sir, this body recognises in reverence and amazement that Lokoja is the only traditional institution where titles are conferred on worthy sons of Lokoja irrespective of religious or polical affiliations. You are dispassionate when it comes to who is to confered with titles, even as you always ensure due diligence and historical antecedents before such titles are confirmed.
Bagadozhi is a father, grand father, mentor, teacher, astute and convivial to us all in Lokoja, irrespective of where one resides or originates in Lokoja and even outside of the emirate council.
His Royal Highness is a servant leader whose contribution to the development of Lokoja and Kogi State before he succeeded his father is unparalleled.
