The member representing Ajaokuta Federal constituency, at the green chamber, Hon. Lawal Muhammadu Idirisu, on monday commended president Muhammodu Buhari for his unwavering commitment to the revival of the steel company.
The member who was speaking at the Ajaokuta Steel company plant site during the visit of the House of Representatives Committee on Steel development, assured that the host Community would continue to cooperate with the FG to ensure its timely completion.
Lawal who is also a member of the committee, maintained that the interest of the host community would be integrated into the entire process, stressing that kogi state and Ajaokuta LGA would be the greatest beneficiaries of the company when fully operational.
According to him, the company when fully operational would generate thousands of employment opportunity for the teaming Youth of the area, as well as enhance economic activities of the area tremendously.
Speaking on behalf of the Youth from the host Community, Zakari Adamu applauded Hon. Lawal for his effort in the eight Assembly for bringing former speaker Yakubu Dogara and some principal officers of the National Assembly to the project site, saying their reports to President Muhammadu Buhari has yielded positive results today .
They equally thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for his follow up to ensure that the moribund steel plant is revitalized for the benefit of Nigerias, kogi state citizens and the people of Ajaokuta LGA
They also commended the Sole Administrator of the Ajaokuta Steel company, Engr. Ismaila Aka’aba for his commitment to the early completion of the project.
According to the youth, the Sole Administrator has provided the needed quality leadership, which they said was responsible for the harmonious and peaceful co-existence between the company and the community.
They assured the visiting team of their unalloyed support to the project, and appealed that the youth of the area be factored into the policy formulation towards the full take off of the plant.
