Lokoja Local Government Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu, has officially endorsed the Karimi/Ododo Medical Outreach, describing it as a timely initiative to improve access to healthcare services in the area.

Speaking at the Lokoja Local Government Secretariat, Adamu said the program, launched in honour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, would bring much-needed relief to rural communities struggling with limited access to health facilities.

“This is not about politics but about service to the people. I have seen mothers and children walk miles for medical attention. If this outreach brings care closer to them, then we must support it wholeheartedly,” he said.

The outreach, coordinated by Hon. Jamal, will provide free consultations in pediatrics, obstetrics, dentistry, and general medicine. It will also include immunizations, distribution of essential drugs, and health education sessions across Kabawa communities in Lokoja LGA.

The program is expected to kick off in Kabawa community, on Sunday.

While residents welcomed the initiative, some expressed concern about its sustainability beyond political cycles. Adamu assured them the council would work with the organizers to ensure continuity.

He further commended Governor Usman Ododo and Hon. Karimi for supporting grassroots health development, saying the outreach was a demonstration of their alignment with President Tinubu’s agenda of improved healthcare access for Nigerians.
