The newly promoted Commissioner of Police (CP),Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Sanusi on Sunday held a thanksgiving service for his promotion.
The thanksgiving service, which was led by the Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Muhammad Aminu Sha’aban took place at his family residence in Karaworo, Lokoja, celebrated God’s mercifulneess over his promotion.
He noted that returning thanks to God became necessary, adding that he would not have been promoted without God’s divine grace.
He said; “I sincerely extend my deepest appreciation to the Almighty God for His grace, guidance and favor in my life and career.
“My heartfelt gratitude goes to my family, colleagues, friends, associates and well-wishers whose prayers, encouragement and support have been instrumental to this success
“This promotion to the rank of Commissioner of Police is not just personal achievement but a call to greater service, dedication and responsibility to our beloved nation.
“May God bless you all for standing by me and sharing in this joyous moment,” he stressed.
CP Sanusi particularly recognised the support of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun Ph.D, and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), DIG Hashimu Argungu (Rtd).
He further urged Nigerians to continue to pray for President Bola Tinubu to succeed in some of the difficult but deliberate and practical steps he is gradually taking to salvage the country from its current challenges.
The chief Imam of Lokoja, Aminu Shaban,in his semon, prayed Allah to continue to protect the new CP.
“Our son Prof. Ahmed Sanusi will be the grace Allah rose to Inspector-General of Lokoja”, the Imam prayed.
In their thank-you message, the Dan MAJE OF LOKOJA,Alhaji (Dr)Rajab NA’IBI, Hon Ahmed Sagir Muhammad who spoke on behalf of the family thanked all that came to grace the occasion and wished them save journey to their respective destinations.
