The Kogi State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has commiserated with Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on the demise of his father, Alhaji Momohsanni Usman Ododo, who passed away on Monday at the age of 83.
The condolences message was contained in a statement jointly signed and issued by the state Chairman, Mr. Kingsley Temitope Ogga and the state Secretary, Mr. Adaji John Udale and made available to newsmen in Lokoja, the state capital.
In the statement, the ADC urged the governor to take solace in the fact that his father lived a very impactful life as can be attested to by his numerous contributions to humanity while alive.
Part of the statement read,“We appreciate what it feels like to lose a father especially when one is in a position and the wise counsel of such a departed head of family will be most required.
However, who are we to question God, who has the power to give and take.
“We are urging the governor of our dear state to brace up and take solace in the fact that his father lived a very impactful life.
We join other family members and well wishers to pray that God grants the departed Aljannah Firdaus and give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.”
