Protocols………
“Distinguished stakeholders, esteemed comrades, respected elders, and the vibrant youths of Kogi State,
With humility in my heart and a deep sense of duty, I, Comrade Abdulrahman Abdulmumuni, stand before you today to formally declare my intention to contest for the Chairmanship of the Kogi State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).
This decision is not driven by personal ambition, but by an enduring passion to serve, and to advance the noble cause of youth development in our dear state. I have served in various youth platforms across Kogi, and I have seen firsthand both the challenges we face and the immense potential we possess.
Before I proceed, permit me to sincerely acknowledge and commend the immediate past leadership of the NYCN in Kogi State. Their selfless service, commitment, and resilience laid a solid foundation upon which we can confidently build. They have moved the council forward in difficult times and shown what leadership can achieve when it is rooted in vision and unity. If given the mandate, I promise to consolidate on their gains and carry forward the torch of youth empowerment they have so honorably upheld.
Since its inception in 1964, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has stood as a beacon for youth development, national unity, and active citizenship. I fully align with this noble mandate, and I pledge not to deviate from the founding vision and guiding principles of this great organization.
Today, I stand not just to declare my candidacy, but to unveil a clear vision for a brighter, bolder future for Kogi Youths. A future anchored on inclusion, innovation, and impact. If entrusted with your mandate, I will implement an ambitious yet practical 8-point agenda that speaks directly to the needs and aspirations of our youths:
Youth Inclusiveness in Governance: I will collaborate with relevant Kogi State Government agencies to ensure active participation of youths in policy formulation and implementation across the state.
Promoting Unity Among Kogi Youths: I will champion a culture of peace, mutual respect, and inter-ethnic collaboration, recognizing that our diversity is our strength.
Construction of an Ultra-Modern Kogi Youth House: A functional and symbolic Kogi Youth House (Secretariat) will be established as a home and hub for all youth-related engagements in the state.
Human Capital Development and Empowerment: Through targeted skills acquisition programs, entrepreneurship support, and mentorship platforms, we will equip our youths to lead and excel in various sectors.
Campaign Against Indiscipline Among Youths: wage an unrelenting campaign against drug abuse, dealership, and cyber crime, by engaging communities, schools, religious institutions, and security agencies in a unified fight to protect our future. In same vein, we shall restore a culture of responsibility, patriotism, and accountability through advocacy, community outreach, and value reorientation.
Kogi Youth Development Trust Fund: I
I will lobby the state government, state house of assembly and private stakeholders to establish a Youth Development Trust Fund that will support innovation, education, youth-led enterprises, tech and advanced technologies.
Creative Industry Talent Development: By partnering with NGOs and creative industry leaders, we will uncover, nurture, and promote the rich talents of Kogi youths in music, film, arts, and tech.
Security: An aspirant for the chairmanship position of the National Youths Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Kogi state, I recognize the vital role youths play in supporting the state’s security. If elected, my goal is to empower the youths to contribute meaningfully to security efforts.
To achieve this, I plan to implement several initiatives, including encouraging vigilance and reporting suspicious activities, fostering community engagement, building partnerships with security agencies, and initiating programs that promote peace and conflict resolution. Additionally, I will provide opportunities for skills acquisition and collaborate with security agencies to address security challenges. By harnessing the energy and creativity of Kogi State’s youths, I am confident that together, we can build a safer and more prosperous state for all. As the chairman of NYCN, my focus will be on empowering youths to make a meaningful impact on the state’s security, promoting peaceful coexistence, and ensuring a brighter future for Kogi State.
My mission: Is to build a united, empowered, and productive youth constituency that contributes meaningfully to the development of Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
I do not claim to have all the answers, but I bring to the table dedication, integrity, and experience. And above all, I bring a genuine love for the youths of Kogi State.
To the elders, stakeholders, and all youth across the 21 local government areas: This is our moment. This is our movement. Let’s move together.
I, Comrade Abdulrahman Abdulmumuni Enesi, am ready to serve with vision, with purpose, and with your support”

Thank you.
God bless Kogi Youths.
God bless the NYCN.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
