The chief Imam of Miftahul Khairat juma’a masjid ,Khadi Muhammad Muhammad Bello has commended Sisters of Janah, Lokoja Zone for their tireless efforts in propagating Islam.
Kadi Bello made the commendations at the monthly Lecture Series organized by Miftahul Khairat juma’a masjid in collaboration with sisters of jannah,lokoja Zone which took place on Sunday.
The lecture with the theme :’
ISLAMIC NEW YEAR AND THE IMPORTANCE OF SELF ASSESSMENT” has the GM NTA lokoja Alhaji Yahaya Adam, as the chairman while Engineer Ustaz Usman Tawheed, the chief Imam of JNI mosque served as the Guest speaker.

“It gives me great pleasure to welcome your lordships, distinguished scholars and elders, distinguished brothers and Sisters, to the 24 edition of the monthly lecture Series jointly organized by this Masjid and Sisters of Jannah.
The 1st edition was held in this Masjid On 25″ May, 2025 (27″ Dhul Qa’dah, 1446AH) with the topic: “HAJJ; ITS CONCEPT, STATUS, CONDITIONS, OBJECTIVES AND WORLD ECONOMIC BENEFITS” presented by an expert, Alhaji Zakariya Abubakar Aliyu and chaired by Alhaji. Ahmad Umar Ibrahim (Nakorji of Kakanda).
The maiden lecture was attended by several dignitaries notable amongst those in attendance were the Hon. Grand Kadi, Hon. Justice Abdulkareem A. Aruwa, Hon. Justice Suleiman Bala Muhammed, Hon. Justice Shaibu Rilwan Aliyu, Sheikh Abdullahi Mambo, Sarkin Mallamai of Lokoja, Council of Ulamau, FOMWAN (State and Lokoja Local Government Chapters), Federation of Kakanda Muslims and Kakanda Traditional Council among others.
Key Points from the Maiden Lecture includes:
Hajj is obligatory upon Muslims, male and female who have the means at least once in a lifetime.
Hajj promotes unity, equality and spiritual fulfillment.
Conditions for Hajj include being a Muslim, sound mind and body,
sound financial status security and safety, and acquiring valid travelling documents.
Objectives of Hajj include fostering Unity brotherhood peaceful coexistence and opportunity for self-reflection and assessment.
Economic benefits of Hajj include enhancing global trade, creating employment opportunities and cultural exchange.
At the conclusion of the lecture presentation, questions bordering Hajj sponsored with stolen money, borrowing money to perform Hajj, non-attending Arafat on ground of illness among others were asked and response given –
accordingly.
My Lord, the Hon. Grand Kadi, Hon. Justice Abdulkareem A. Aruwa in his goodwill message sincerely thanked and commended the organizers of this monthly lecture. He was optimistic that this collaboration between the- Masjid and Sisters of Jannah will continue to promote a better understanding of {slam) amongst the Ummah while contributing significantly to improvement in the da‘awah work and overall development of Islamic knowledge. He finally prayed for the sustenance of the programme.
Ustaz Khalifa AIK Alero and Hajiya Aisha Muhammad on behalf of the Council of Ulamau and federation of MUalim Women in Nigeria respectively in their goodwill messages commended the way the Programme was organized and the collaboration between the Masjid and Sinters of Jannah
Closing
Hajiya Jummai Isyaku of the Sisters of jannah gave the votes of thanks and his Lordship, Hon, Justice Suleiman Bala Muhammad kadi , shari’a court of Appeal did the closing prayers.
I must at this juncture extend our profound gratitude to Allah (SWT) who spares our lives to witness this 2â„¢ edition of the monthly lecture series. In fact we are heavily indebted to everyone involved in any activity towards the success of this Masjid Programme.
May i enjoin all of us to listen carefully to the eminent speaker, Engr. Imam Usman Tawheed during the presentation of his paper titled “ISLAMIC NEW YEAR ; IMPORTANCE OF SELF ASSESSMENT” I assure you that you will have better and far reaching knowledge from our erudite speaker.
We consider this collaboration to be very important strategy in da’awa and encouraging continuing Islamic education which is in line with Islamic concept of learning as stated by the Messenger of Allah (SAW); ‘So long as one continues to learn, so long will one continue to be learned, and if one considers that one is learned and stop learning, one become ignorant”.
The first and foremost condition for the vitality of a people is acquisition of knowledge hence, the importance of this programme.
Finally, we wish to once more express our profound gratitude to today’s Chairman, Alhaji Yahaya Adam, GM NTA, Lokoja for accepting to chair this occasion on a short notice and to all of you for your attendance and support given to us for us to succeed. Jazakumullahu Khairan.”
