Induction course: Gov. Ododo tasks Kogi LG Officials on effective record keeping, documentation.

Kogi state Gov. Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has charged operators in the third tier of Government in the State to make record keeping and documentation top on their priority.

Governor Ododo gave the charge to Council the 21 council Chairmen, Vice, Directors of Local Government Administration and Treasurers at the close of a three day induction course organized by the Office of the Auditor General for Local Governments in collaboration with the 21 LGC of Kogi State for elected Kogi local Government officials and finance/administrative Staff.

With the Theme; emerging challenges and benefits of Local Government Autonomy in Nigeria, tasked the Legislative arms of the Councils working in collaboration with the Executive arm to make accountability, transparency the cornerstone of their administration through adequate records keeping.

Similarly, Gov. Ododo who was represented by the Secretary to the Government of the State, Dr. Folashade Arike Ayoade, also tasked the elected and appointed Local Government officials in the 21 Local Government Areas to leverage on the use of financial auditing, internally externally, so as to give assurances of transparent and accountable services to their citizens.
