In a significant humanitarian effort marking the this year’s Ramadan, the Isah kutepa Foundation under the chairmanship of His Royal Highness, the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi 1V, who was represented by the Maiyaki of Lokoja, Alhaji Ali Lawal on Saturday conducted a large-scale Flag off distribution of essential food supplies worth N75 million to over 3,000 households across Lokoja emirate council

Maigari, who expressed
gratitude to the Chairman and chief Executive of Isah kutepa foundation, Alhaji Abdulsaq Isah kutepa for the gestures called on Hakimis to justify the confidence reposed in them by reaching out to the vulnerable persons in their communities.

He directed them to constitute committee for the effective distribution of the Ramadan palliatives in their various areas

” you must be justified the confidence reposed in you by making sure the items get to the vulnerable persons and the needy” he said.

The monarch urged affluent members of society to emulate the Isah Kutepa foundation as a trusted channel for their philanthropic endeavors adding that,
“Islam, particularly during Ramadan, the act of feeding the needy is considered extremely important as it embodies a core Islamic value, strengthens community bonds, and offers significant spiritual rewards, with the added benefit of having your charitable deeds multiplied during this holy month; essentially, it’s a time to actively practice empathy and compassion towards those less fortunate by sharing your blessings.

He quoted from the Prophetic teachings:”The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) emphasized the virtue of feeding others, stating “The best of you are those who feed others”.

Items distributed are : Rice millet ,beans , Maize ,cooking oil and maize among many.

The event which was moderated by a member of Isah kutepa Foundation, Alhaji Danladi Abdulsalam a.k.a Dina, was graced by members, traditional title holders and various communities leaders in the area.
