The Ododo Major Boys In Kogi West, on Tuesday organised a special prayers as part of activities lineup for the anniversary of Kogi state governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo one year in office
The prayers sessions which took place at Lokoja Central Mosque was led by the Chief Imam of Lokoja,Sheikh Muhammadu Aminu Sha’aban, assisted by Ulamas that cut across religious groups drawn from all the Juma’a mosques in Lokoja.
Sha’aban, in special prayers prayed for the continue success of the Governor, the state and the nation to overcome current security Challenges.
The prayers goes thus:
“O God, aid our Governor and do not aid anyone against him, O God grant him victory and do not grant victory to anyone over him, protect him wherever he is and do not plan against him, guide him and facilitate guidance for him, grant him victory over those who transgress against him, O God give us peace in our land in our state and our country ” Imam Sha’aban prayed.
Speaking to Newsmen shortly after the prayer, Chairman of
Ododo Major Boys in Kogi West, Hon .Abdulrahman Hussain,a.k.a Gentle, said they organised the special prayer for the governor on his remarkable achievements within 365 days in office.
Gentle thanked the Ulamas for their prayers, saying that it was the prayers that made Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration to succeed and achieved meaningful development in the past one year.
In his own remarks,member representing Lokoja /Kogi federal Constituency,Hon. Danladi Sulaiman Aguye,said the administration of ododo will continue to provide the dividends of democracy to kogites.
He commended the group for their support and appealed to others to emulate them.
The lawmaker congratulated kogites and urged them to continue their support for the present administration under the leadership of governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The prayers sessions was attended by Kogi state commissioner for water Resources, Engineer Muhammad Danladi Yahaya Farouk,his counterparts in ministry of Youth development, Anthoney General and commissioner of justice respectively.
Others, includes,Lokoja Local Government chairman ,comrade Abdullahi Adamu,APC chairman, Hon Maikudi Bature and hosts of others.
