Kogi state people’s Democratic Party (PDP) Youth Leader,Hon.Yunusa Halidu Zaki has called on state government under the leadership of governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to find a lasting solutions to the perennial water supply in the Lokoja the state capital.
The called was contained via a statement signed by hon.zaki on Thursday, obtained by THEANALYSTNG in Lokoja
He described the perennial water supply which has been on since the APC led administration took over 9 years as ” life threatening “
The PDP Leader maintained further that former governor Ibrahim Idris constructed greater Lokoja water Project,which he alleged is abandoned by APC led administration.
The statement reads:
“I am aware that people of Lokoja and environs have been facing difficulty in getting water , especially from our water works which they said is working.
Theres need for the state government to prioritize it citizens need above any other things, particularly water supply.
Former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris of PDP has lay the foundation of providing water project in Lokoja to ease the scarcity of water in the state,but abandoned by APC led administration.
I want to use this medium to call on the authority concern to find a lasting solutions to the lack of water in Lokoja and environs” the statement concluded.
