National President of Crowther Memorial College old Students Association, Col (Dr)Abayomi Dare (Retired) has described the balkanization of their Alma mater by Angelica Diocese of Lokoja as worrisome and called on Kogi state governor to save the institution.
Abayomi made the declaration in a press conference on Wednesday, ahead of Crowther Memorial College-old students mega reunion schedule for January 22nd to 24th,2025.
The president urged all the stakeholders to come together and works towards a resolution that preserve the integrity of the school,it’s future for the generation to come.
The press conference was attended by a One time lawmaker,Hon. John Adele (SAN),Mr Emmanuel Shelika and Mrs Koleoso kahinde and the national publicity of (CMCLOSA), engineer Muhammad jatto Musa, were among the national officers that graced the press briefing

“Distinguished members of the press, esteemed guests, and fellow alumni of Crowther Memorial College Lokoja,
It is both an honor and a privilege to stand before you today as we gather to highlight an exciting and significant event in the life of our beloved alma mater. The Crowther Memorial College Lokoja Old Students Association (CMCLOSA) will be hosting its Mega Reunion from January 22nd to 24th, 2025, and we are thrilled to invite all members of the press, our! alumni, and well-meaning Nigerians to be part of this historic’occasion.
The Mega Reunion promises to be a series of transformative events, which will include:
(1) Health Walk – A community engagement exercise aimed
at promoting health and wellness among alumni and
friends of the college.
(2)Launching of the Education Endowment Fund – We will
officially launch a fund that will provide long-term support for the educational development of future generations of students at Crowther Memorial College.
(3)Handing Over of the Rehabilitated Administrative Building – A significant milestone in our efforts to restore and improve the college’s infrastructure, ensuring a conducive learning environment for our current and future students.

(4)Visits to Key Dignitaries – During the reunion, we will have the honor of paying courtesy visits to His Excellency, the Governor of Kogi State, the Maigari of Lokoja, and the Anglican Bishop of the Diocese of Lokoja, among other distinguished individuals, as wd seek their support for our alma mater.
However, this reunion is not only a celebration of our past achievements but also a critical opportunity for us to address some pressing concerns. We, the alumni of Crowther Memorial College, stand united in our appeal to all well-meaning Nigerians to support us in saving our beloved institution from the threat of balkanization posed by the Anglican Diocese of Lokoja.
The recent developments concerning the division of the school are deeply concerning. Our Alma Mater, built on decades of tradition and excellence, stands at a crossroad, . and it is our collective responsibility to ensure it does not lose its identity or the legacy of its founding principles. We urge all stakeholders to come together and work towards a resolution that preserves the integrity of Crowther Memorial College and secures its future for generations to come.
This reunion is not just a celebration; it is a call to action. It is an opportunity for all of us to stand in solidarity, reflect on our shared history, and invest in a brighter future for Crowther Memorial College. Together, we can make a difference.
