A 25-year -old notorious motorcycles thief, Hassan Abdul,was yesterday arrested by the vigilante Group of Nigeria while attempted to stole a motorcycle at the GSM Village, Lokoja.
Commander of VGN, Mr Hassan Yusuf, while parading the suspect before journalists said that preliminary investigations revealed that Hassan Abdul is a member of well- organise syndicate specialising in motorcycle theft based in ayingba in Dekina local government of Kogi state.
the suspect who confessed before newsmen said “. My name is Hassan Abdul, am 25,
igala by tribe from ayngba in Dekina local government of Kogi state
I’ve a master key which I used to open any types of motorcycles.
My operational base includes: Computer village ,
Zanth bank, first Bank and old market Lokoja.
I sold all the machines I stole to kabiru, who resides at behind Our ladies in Ayingba,Dekina local government
My comrade in crime is Ogbe,before he was arrested,we stole over six motorcycles within Lokoja, he’s currently in koton karfe correctional centre” Abdul confessed.
Chairman of Association of phone Technicians And Accessories Dealers,Kogi state,Mr Salihu Abubakar, while commending the bravery and swift action of the members of vigilante Group of Nigeria, urged the public, especially customers to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities for a safer and more secure business environment for all.
He appealed to the appropriate authorities on the need to bring all criminals to justice includes, Hassan Abdul, whom he described as “notorious motorcycles snatcher.”
