The chief Imam of Lokoja, sheikh Aminu Sha’aban, has administered Magajin Garin Lakwaja , Khalifa Ibrahim (Etsu) Shuiabu Kenchi and his siblings to build on the legacy of their late mother , Sayyida Aminah Sheikh Shuiabu Kenchi.
Sha’aban extolled the virtue of late Hajiya Aminah during the 7th days Fida’u prayers for the deceased held on Friday in Lokoja.
sayyida Amina died last Friday at the age of 100 in Lokoja.
The prayer session had in attendance, Kogi state grand Khadi, Justice Abdulkareem Aruwa, Khalifa Adam okete , reps of Maigari of Lokoja,agankyu of kakanda and khalifa Nurudeen Yusuf Abdullah respectively.

Others includes, khalifa Arif Yabagi, eminent islamic clerics,Khalifa Arif Yabagi, Prof Yahaya Isah adagere CMD, Kogi state specialist hospital,one time speaker of Kogi state House of assembly,Rt. Hon. Umar imam, politicians, traditional rulers, council chairman and other dignitaries.
Speaking to Newsmen, Son of deceased who hold the traditional title of Magajin Garin Lakwaja, Khalifa Ibrahim Etsu Shuiabu Kenchi,thanked all the guests for honouring the late Khalifa Shuiabu Kenchi family with their presence.
He said, “Our Muslims clerics through their sermons and prayers have tutored us on how to lead a good life. We need to have the fear of God in all we do. All the Muslim clerics have testified to the good life led by sayyida Amina Shuiabu Kenchi my dear mother. It is evident in the kind of lifestyle she leaves, she was a devoted Muslim and a lover of the community and its people. We are grateful for the children and grandchildren she left behind. I pray Almighty Allah strengthened the family to be able to carry on with the good works of sayyida Amina during her life times.
“We thank God for all the those that have come to honour the late Aminah Sheikh Shuiabu Kenchi family. Death is the debt every one of us owes. We must pay some day. I pray we grow old to a ripe age. Thank you all for honouring us in zawiyya of late Shuiabu Kenchi” khalifa Kenchi prayed
On his part, former speaker of Kogi state House of assembly, Rt.Hon. Umar Imam admonished Magajin Garin Lakwaja, Khalifa Ibrahim and his siblings to immortalise their late mother.
Speaker Imam commensurate with the Magajin Garin Lakwaja family and prayed for you her soul to rest in janatul-firdaus.
