Kogi state Chairman of Social Democratic Party (SDP),Hon. Peter Moses Oricha, have expressed the confidence that the party will sweep the October 19th Council elections.
The chairman disclosed this on Saturday while presenting the party flags to the 21 local government Chairmanship candidates in Lokoja.
Oricha explained further the party’s candidates were the authentic flagbearers stressing that the same structures that brought SDP governorship candidate, Muritala Ajaka,in November 2023 is the same that presented flags to them.
He appealed to SDP members in the state on the need to close ranks in winning the forthcoming local government election.
Oricha,who expressed confidence in kogi state electoral Commission (KOSIEC),said the commission added : the chairman have gave us the assurance that the exercise would be free ,fair and transparent” he said
He urged the SDP flagbearers to reach out to their various communities by campaigning vigorously .
Highlights of the ceremony includes symbolic presentation of the party’s flag to the SDP Chairmanship candidate for Lokoja Local Government Council,Hon. Ahmed Danjuma Adam. a. k. a Quincy,others are, of omala ,Idah,Ajaokuta, Dekina and wards Councillorship Candidates respectively.
