Invitation To 2024 Annual Lokoja Day/ Turbaning Ceremony of Eminent Sons and Daughters Of Lokoja Local Government Area

The Maigari of Lokoja and Chairman Lokoja Local Government Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi 1V, cordially invite Lokoja sons and daughters at home and diaspora to 2024 ” LOKOJA DAY /TURBANING CEREMONY”, which is scheduled for Saturday,14th of September 2024 at Maigari Palace, Lokoja, Kogi state.

Special Guest Of Honour: His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, While Alhaji Abdulrasaq Isah Kutepa, Wakilin Raya Kasa of Lokoja and Chairman, Waltersmith Petroleum Ltd, Will be the Chairman of the occasion.

To mark this year’s ceremony, HRH. Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi 1V, Maigari of Lokoja and Royal Father of the day, will turban some selected eminent Lokoja local government indigenes in appreciations of their contributions towards the development of their various communities and Lokoja emirate Council in particular.

Among those to be Turban includes, Speaker of Kogi state House of assembly,Rt Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf as ” BADA KOSHI OF LOKOJA” Alhaji Ibrahim Sulaiman Danladi Barazana,”TSOFADA OF LOKOJA’, Alhaji Bala Haruna, as the “SHANTALIN OF LOKOJA” while Hon.Idi Ibrahim will be turban as the”SARKIN FAWA OF LOKOJA” among others.

Highlights of the events includes, Unveiling of a book Titled:”

THE NARRATION ON THE EMERGENCE OF THE MAGARI OF LOKOJA 2024″

The book is expected to be unveil by honourable speaker Kogi state House of assembly,Rt Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf.
