Chief Imam of Lokoja Sheikh Sha’aban, Pledges more Support To NECO

Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Muhammadu Aminu Sha’aban, has promised to work assiduously for the success and improved visibility of the National Examination Council (NECO) in Lokoja and Kogi state in general.

The spiritual leader gave the commitment when he received in audience the state Coordinator of National Examination Council (NECO), Kogi state, Mr. Thadeus Ajabu on Thursday in his Madabo residence.

Sha’aban,who is the Chairman of Kogi state Leagues of Imams assured the coordinator of his determination to enlighten all the imams in the state on the activities and opportunities for students to derived from the examination council, especially the Suleja Academy.

Earlier on,Mr Ajabu informed the imam Sha’aban that they were in his palace to pay him a courtesy call in continuation of his visits to traditional rulers and religious leaders.

He said NECO has gone global and called on the spiritual leader on the need to enlighten his subjects on the activities of the examination body.

The coordinator informed the audience that he is already in contact with HRH the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi 1V, to partner with NECO in the areas of registration and development, he noted that he has started his consultation long before now and very soon the Kogi state will witness the positive benefits of NECO.
