Hon. Danladi Sulaiman Aguye, member representing Lokoja/ Kogi federal Constituency, has distribute 600 bags of NPK fertiliser to boost the agricultural yield of the people of his constituency.
Aguye,who was represented by the Chairman of Lokoja local government,Comrade Abdullahi Adamu, said the six hundred bags of fertilizer is targeted for farmers in a Lokoja 2 constituency,Kabawa and Adankolo community in lokoja 1 constituency.
He maintained further that in this rainy season,it’s time to share the first batch of fertilizers to farmers in the rural to go to their farms to boost agricultural products.
“Value Addition demands that I should take advantage of the season by providing bags of fertiliser for the farmers so that their economic status will be enhanced and food shortage will be a thing of the past.
“Today’s programme is part of my efforts to assist our farmers across the constituent, as Agricultural Empowerment Scheme,” he said.
The lawmaker assured of continuous sound representation and appreciated Governor Ododo for the numerous projects executed in his constituency and the state at large.
He called on the people of his constituency to continue to support the governor to succeed.
On his part, leader of APC in Lokoja two who received the materials on behalf of farmers, Isah Okoriko, thanked Hon. Aguye for providing the fertilisers to the people of his constituency.
Okoriko said the gesture would boost agricultural production in the constituency and the state at large.
He urged the people of Lokoja/ Kogi constituency to continue to pray and support gov Ododo and Hon. Aguye to succeed.
