Security Agencies turns down cover for Group Emergency Meeting

The Security Agencies in Kogi State have turned down request by some group of people for cover for an Emergency meeting, among other things to allegedly hoodwink members of the NMA Kogi state into unconstitutionally impeaching the Chairman .

It was reliable gathered that the invitation of the EGM got to the Security Agencies to provide security cover in a request letter not written on any letter head paper by one Dr Musa Abdulakarim which necessitated their decline to provide security cover for the meeting.

The meeting is slated to hold on Saturday in Lokoja at the NUT House, described as unacceptable by the security agencies.

The leaked letter indicated that members are being called to gather unconstitutionally to impeach the Chairman of NMA Kogi state in a gestapo manner.

“In a voice chat scooped by journalist, some of the members said they believe the impeachment move is allegedly being funded, masterminded and heavily pursued by a Chief Medical Director and one leader of affiliate who they said have embezzled millions of naira of dues paid to him by his members to be remmited into the association .

” Our president told us that our CMD has been summoned to Abuja for questioning and again the Chairman had been asking some leadership of MDCAN to remit the correct amount of monies which are dues of his members, these and many more are the reasons they gang up against the Chairman “

The leaked invitation was allegedly signed by the Chairman, MDCAN FTHL and allegedly sponsored by a Chief Medical Director.

However some members who are not disposed to the meeting told Journalists that the EGM was a ploy to hoodwink his supporters to initiate agenda for the impeachment of the NMA chairman, Dr. Olusola Baoku before expiration of his tenure.

The Members loyal to the Chairman, NMA appeal for a restraint not to fall into the trap of these leaders .

According to source, the letter seeking to inform security agencies for the meeting was rejected, as the security cautioned and planned to clamp down on those planning the meeting, described the meeting as illegal and mischievous.
