One Year Anniversary: Reps Member Aguye Rolls Out Impactful Scorecard

Hon. Danladi Sulaiman Aguye, member representing Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency, has rolled out the scorecard of his impactful representation in the past year to mark his first anniversary as a member of House of Representatives.

Speaking through his Head of Media and Publicity, Comrade Ibrahim Shaibu Nuhu, the lawmaker said; “As a responsible servant leader, I address you today to keep all of us abreast with our struggles within the last one year.

“The reality is that all of these were achieved without a dim as constituency project. It becomes
imperative because of the current economic reality in the world and Nigeria in particular.
I therefore, present to you below our giant stride within one year as we hope to continue to raise up the banner of good representation of our dear Federal Constituency.

On his legislative functions, Nuhu said,
Aguye moved the motion for the revival of the abandoned dredging of the lower
River Niger.

He further stressed that the lawmaker was also active in carrying out committee’s oversight functions to various institutions of government across the country to give his people a greater sense of belonging.

INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT

  1. Drilling and installation of a new borehole with
    stanchon in Otube community, Oworo ward.
  2. Installed solar powered street light at Lokoja old market.
  3. Repaired the motorized borehole at Madabo in Lokoja ward D
  4. Repaired the manual (hand-driven) borehole at
    European Cemetery, in Lokoja ward A.
  5. Erosion control and backwash at Rimi, in Lokoja ward D
  6. Repaired the motorized borehole at Rimi in ward D.
  7. Repaired the motorized borehole at Kpatan-Koto
    in Lokoja ward E.
  8. Repaired the motorized borehole at Newlayout
    opposite Nataco’s house in ward A.
  9. Repaired the motorized borehole at Children Amusement Park in ward A.
  10. Repaired two motorized borehole at Akpogu in
    Koton-Karfe South-East ward.

11.Repaired the motorized borehole at Odaki ward
in Koton-Karfe town.

  1. Repaired the motorized borehole at Ukwo ward,
    Koton-Karfe.
  2. Installed solar powered street light at Agbaja,
    in Oworo ward.

    community, Koton-Karfe.
  3. Installed solar powered street light at Ugwo

    community, Kogi LGA.
  5. Installed solar powered street light at
    Otube/Karara community, Oworo ward.
  6. Installed solar powered street light at GRA in Lokoja ward A.
  7. Installed solar powered street light from UBA
    Junction to under tree at Adankolo, ward A.
  8. Installed solar powered street light Bishop Delisle College junction to Maigari’s palace in Lokoja.
  9. Constructed culvert/Drainage at Angwan Yashi in Lokoja
    ward C.
  10. Installed pumping machine at Sarki-Noma
    borehole, ward E.
  11. Installed solar powered street light at Kutepa Mosque to cantonment bridge.
  12. Installed solar powered street light at Angwan Kura to Sardauna junction.

HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT

  1. Appointed fifty three (53) youth and women as grassroots/women mobilizers across the 21
    wards in Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency with monthly salary.
  2. Distributed forty six (46) Cattle/Seventy (70)
    Rams for the Muslim community during the 2023
    Eid-ul Adha celebration.
  3. Distributed fifteen cattle to Christian community during December, 2023 Christmas and New year celebrations.
  4. Distributed over three thousand bags of food items (Rice, wheat and semovita) to constituent
    as palliative to cushion the hardship of subsidy
    removal.
  5. Bursary disbursement of two million Naira to
    students of Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency in various tertiary institutions.
  6. Paid of the sum of one million, two hundred
    thousand Naira (N 1.2m) as medical bills of
    people at Shifaah Hospital, Lokoja.
  7. Paid the sum of two million, four hundred
    thousand naira for the treatment of a residence of
    Adankolo, Lokoja.
  8. Trained twenty women and youths in various
    vocations at Kabba with startup pack of one hundred thousand naira each.

He listed other achievements of the lawmaker, to including:

  1. Distributed pumping machines to farmers in
    Lokoja/Kogi-KK federal constituency for dry-
    season irrigation farming.
  2. Flag up and distribution of farming inputs
    (fertilizer, pesticides, herbicides) to farmers in the
    Constituency.

“I wish to appreciate our leaders, stakeholders, party
faithful, aides and teaming supporters for their
invaluable support and suggestions. I assure you
all that God on our side, our two years in office will
be a record breaking for the constituent. We shall
continue to thread the path of absolute service
while protecting the interest of the very less
privileged.

“May Almighty God bless you all as we mark this milestone together”, Nuhu concluded.
