Comrade Abdullahi Adamu has congratulated the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola and the entire Members of the Kogi State House of Assembly on their one “highly productive year” in Office.
In a statement released by the Special Adviser on Media, Iliyasu Zakari, on Thursday in Lokoja, described the composition of the 8th Assembly as one of the best sets of Lawmakers considering the capacity of the Leadership, Members and in just one year, the deliverables.
Adamu commends the leaders of the State Assembly commandeered by the highly experienced, articulate and resourceful Speaker, Rt. Hon. Umar Aliyu Yusuf for the stability and the synergy with the Executive which has led to many positive and far reaching bills and laws.
The Caretaker Transition noted that one of the first bills led to the creation of the Kogi State University, Kabba and most recently the Electricity Regulation, Generation and Distribution which will impact tremendously on the Economic Development trajectory of Kogi State.
The council boss while congratulating the Lawmakers reserved special appreciation for the Speaker, Rt. Hon Aliyu Umar and Hon. Bin-Ebaiya Shehu Tijjani (Lokoja 1 State Constituency) for the brotherly support and guidance since he assumed office.
He urged the Lawmakers to continue to work with the government to bring more development to the people.
