Lokoja Local Govt demolishes Criminals’ hideout

Transition Chairman of Lokoja local Government,Comrade Abdullahi Adamu on Tuesday ordered the demolition of some houses in Lokoja Old market in Lokoja Local Government,believed to be the hideout of criminals and Drugs peddlers.

The demolition of the house is backed by the HRH,the Maigari of Lokoja and chairman Lokoja local traditional council,HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi 1V.

The Chairman’s Special adviser on security,Hon Yusuf Muhammad Bala, who was part of the demolition exercise did a count of the exits in the demolished building.

Speaking on this development, Bala said that the demolition exercise is a welcome development and a prayer answered, hence the jubilation by residents of the area.

According to him “This is exercise would be extended to knock and cranny pof the local government as no hiding place for criminals any where in Lokoja local government area.

It is a new dawn in  Lokoja local government.We are determined to safe and secure for all,” the  S. A.to Adamu concluded.

At the time of the raid ,over ten criminal were  arrested ,out of which 9 took to their heels, while the remaining one who caught with cannabis suspected to be “Indian hem” was handed over to the security agents.
