The Nigeria Motorcycle transport Union, Lokoja local government branch has Impeached Malam Musa Baba,a.k.a Baba Guguru ,the branch chairman with immediate effect.
The secretary of the union,comrade Emmanuel Salihu, said this while speaking at a news conference on Monday in Lokoja.
According to Salihu “We, the undersigned, having the mandate of our members in the various sections and Lokoja local government branch unanimously impeached Baba Musa with immediate effect.”
The secretary alleged that Musa , popularly know as baba Guguru had committed many atrocities while he served as the union’s Chairman.
He further alleged that baba had reduced members of the union to mere vehicle to embezzled funds.
Salihu also noted that the former chairman failed or neglected to pay medical bills dues for members when appropriated hence causing the union to be redecule by the hospital management.
“It’s on the above issues and other too numerous to mentioned that you’re hereby IMPEACHED with immediate effect and your Vice is hereby nominated to act as the acting chairman pending the resolution of the union”
However,the letter reads in parts: “We the under listed names and signatories has unanimously pass vote of no confidence on your leadership as THE CHAIRMAN OF NIGERIA MOTORCYCLE TRANSPORT UNION, LOKOJA LOCAL GOVERNMENT BRANCH and you’re hereby IMPEACHED.
Your impeachment is based on your ungodly and unconstitutional activities since you assumed office as the chairman.
These includes;
(A) Monopolization of Union positions
(B) Embezzlement of union fund
(C) Inability to take care of welfare of members
(D)Lack of accountability as the account of union with FCMB Bank is dumant.
(E) union hospital are closed due your inability to service them as members are no longer accepted for treatment,the recent one that caused the all the ungodly,, scandalous , barbaric is your refusal to deliver compensation money meant one LAWALI NUHU THAT WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT AND Died In felele lokoja not until the state chairman of the union intervened by suspending you from office before the money was released to the family of Late Lawali Nuhu.
It’s on the above issues and other too numerous to mentioned that you’re hereby IMPEACHED with immediate effect and your Vice is hereby nominated to act as the acting chairman pending the resolution of the union.
