Ramadan: Gegu Distributes 100 bags of Rice, 100 bags of Maize, 100 bags of Guinea Corn, Cash to Muslims

The Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Bashiru Gegu has distributed 100 50KG bags of rice, 100 bags of Guinea Corn, 100 bags of Maize and cash to Muslims in Gegu Beki as support to the ongoing Ramadan.

The Commissioner said the support is to cushion the effect of the global economy and provide food to the adherents in this period of fasting.

The Sharing of the food stuff, most especially grains and rice Engr Bashiru Gegu added is to ameliorate the economic hardship experience in the country owing to downturn in the economy in this fasting period.

The Commissioner urged the people to use the period to pray for the peace of Nigeria and Kogi State, particularly called for prayers for the administration of Gov Ododo.

He said the essence of the distribution is in fulfillment of the Islamic command, said the reward should go to his late father, Imam Abubakar Umar, Former Gov Yahaya Bello and Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo.

The recipient of the items expressed happiness with the support asked Allah to bless the giver, former Gov Bello and Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo as well as continue to grant Aljanah fridaus to the late father of the Commissioner, Imam Abubakar Umar.
