Ramadan: Governor Ododo Urges Muslims To Pray For Peace,development of Kogi

Kogi state governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has called on Muslim ummah in the state to use the forthcoming Ramadan to pray for peace and development of Kogi state.

Ododo made the called at the opening of this year annual Ramadan lectures organised by the state Council Of Ulama’u in Lokoja,on Saturday.

Jama’atu Nasril Islam yesterday called on Muslims in the country to use the last ten days of Ramadan to pray against banditry, kidnapping and corruption.…

The governor who was represented by the Anthoney General and commissioner for Justice,Muiz Yunus Abdullah
admonished Muslims to give alms to the needy‎.

He called on Muslim ummah to intensify prayers against all manners of vices during the holy month of Ramadan.

‎According to the governor, Muslims must use this opportunity to be among those who earn the spiritual rebirth and become practically changed for good and experienced by the family, the neighborhood, the general community and the offices they interact with.”

Earlier In his remarks , Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir 1V,who was represented by Hon isah Tanimu Umar, commended the council for their efforts in propagating Islam.
He called on Muslims to dedicate themselves to the fear of God by assisting the vulnerable person during and after the month of Ramadan.

The occasion was graced the the state chairman of Jama’atul- Nasir Islam, Ambassador Usman Bello,Imams and islamic clerics among many.

Prayers were offered to leaders in the state and the country at large.
