Alhaji Abubakar Egbunu’s Compound in Sabon Gari koton karfe,Kogi local government was filled to the brim on Saturday as Deputy Comptroller of Custom and Ciroma of Igu Kingdom, Alhaji Sani Zakari, gave out his Daughter, Aisha’s hand in marriage to her spouse Muhammad Auwal.
Former Secretary to Kogi state government ,Alhaji Musa Ahmadu, the paramount ruler of Gegu-Beki and over 32 first class chiefs were among the those that graced the occasion.
The wedding fatiha was consummated after the fulfilment of all requirements of Islamic marriage and payment of one hundred and fifty thousand dowry by the representative of the groom and witnessed by hundreds of well wishers.
Others who graced the historic weeding ceremony includes: DC Balogun, Alhaji Abugi Umaru, traditional title holders across Koton karfe Igu Kingdom and host of others.
Speaking to Newsmen, Alhaji Sani Zakari who hold the traditional title of Turakin Okofi expressed appreciation to all those that graced the occasion.
“I want to use this medium to convey my heartfelt appreciations to all those that came from far and near despite the current economic situation” Ciroma said.
The Turakin Okofi who was overwhelmed further prayed Allah for safety return of all his guests to their various destinations.
