Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on Wednesday officially Swore-in Engineer Muhammed Danladi Yahaya Farouk as the new Commissioner for Water Resources.
Farouk’s appointment follow the approval by the Kogi state House of assembly yesterday.
During a ceremony at the Government House today, Governor Ododo expressed his confidence in the newly appointed Commissioner, emphasizing that the selection was made based on merit and competence.
He charged the new appointee to exert significant effort and demonstrate the utmost level of skill and professionalism while carrying out his responsibilities.
In a chart with newsmen, Engineer Farouk expressed gratitude to Governor Ododo
for considering him worthy of the appointment.
He vowed to uphold the governor’s confidence in him and assured that he would carry out his duties with diligence and professionalism.
Farouk appealed to kogites to keep patient as government would do everything at it disposal to satisfy the yearning and aspirations of citizenry.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Lokoja local government APC chairman, Hon Maikudi Bature, Hakimi of ward D,Isah Baba Nasidi, community leaders and Lawmakers among many.
Highlights of the event was a reception organised in honour of the newly appointed commissioner.
