A senior Councillor in Lokoja Emirate Council and Dan Darma Of Lokoja, Barrister Nasser Ahmad ,On Monday, congratulated Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi on his appointment as the New Maigari of Lokoja by the Governor of the State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
Ahmad, in a congratulatory message he personally signed felicitated with the Lokoja Emirate and members of Lokoja traditional title holders on this historic moment, adding that the appointment of the new Maigari have come at the appropriate time.
The Dan Darma Ahmad, a Chieftain of the ruling APC in the state, enjoined the new Monarch to continue to promote and consolidate on the legacies of unity, peace, and harmonious coexistence which the late Maigari of Lokoja,Alhaji (Dr) Muhammadu Kabiru Maikarfi 111, bequeathed to the Emirate.
He implored the new Royal father to build on the legacies of his forefathers by upholding the sanctity of the throne and the traditional institution.
He appealed to the people of Lokoja Emirate to rally support for the new Maigari with a view to moving the Emirate forward.
It will be recalled that the 4th Maigari of Lokoja, HRH, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi,was appointed on Monday,8 of January 2024 after the demised of his father.
