Aguye Bags Traditional Title Of Maji Of Agbaja kingdom

As part of the celebration marking his elevation to Second class chief, the Massi of Agbaja in Oworo district of Lokoja Local Government area of Kogi state, His Royal Highness (Chief) Abubakar Isah Adoga Alugbere, has conferred the historical traditional title of “MAJI OF AGBAJA” on Hon. Suleiman Danladi Aguye, member representing Lokoja Kogi federal Constituency in the national Assembly.

Speaking at the ceremony at his Agbaja palace,Chief Alugbere,said the title was conferred on the lawmaker based on his impeccable character and services to the people even before he was elected in 2023 as member representing Lokoja/ Kogi federal Constituency.

The royal father further stated that any person that could be conferred with the title of MAJI, must be of impeccable character.

He announced that after a rigorously ascertained the character, business acumen, Philanthropy, and public dispositions of Hon Suleiman Danladi Aguye, Alugbere said “we found him worthy as thoroughbred grassrooter who is culturally inclined and traditionally oriented personality that can wear the toga of Oworo royalty and to be a promoter of the institution of Chieftaincy.

In acceptance speech, Aguye felicitated with His Royal Highness, Chief Abubakar Isah Adoga Alugbere, the Massi of Agbaja, on his elevation to Second class and describe as their father, as an embodiment of the Oworo race’s culture and traditions and a bridge-builder in kogi state

The lawmaker who spoke to newsmen, assured the Royal father of his commitments towards the development of the community and Lokoja/ Kogi federal Constituency in general.
